Description
The goat milk is supplied by a group of over 100 select Dutch goat farmers who have committed to comply with the strict quality requirements of our subsidiary Biotaris B.V.Our Dutch farmers combine the traditional care for and dedication to their animals with the most advanced farm management processes in the world. Our Dutch farmers monitor the entire process through means of a certified quality management system in order to guarantee healthy and satisfied animals and, naturally, high-quality milk.
Did you know that the Dutch quality requirements for the goat milk sector are higher than prescribed by the European Union? The quality of our goat milk is safeguarded in various ways. For example, the goat milk, from the goat farm to the production companies, is under the constant control of the Netherlands Controlling Authority for Milk and Milk Products (COKZ) and all of our goat farmers are affiliated with Kwaligeit (QualiGoat), the national chain quality system especially created for the goat milk farming sector. Finally, all farmers comply with the additional requirements specified by us.
Goat milk
Goat milk has a long tradition in being used as a foodstuff. It is tasty, healthy and easy to digest. Its fat content in liquid milk has got an average of approximately 4.1% and its goat protein content 3.4%. Apart from that, the nutritional value is high: goat milk is an important source of high-quality protein (it contains all the essential amino acids), calcium, vitamins A and B2. Goat milk powder contains all these natural elements and materials as well.
What goat milk powder is
Goat milk powder is obtained after evaporation and spray drying of full cream goat milk. If the full cream goat milk is skimmed first and thereafter is dried, skimmed goat milk powder is produced. After adding water to the powder, goat milk is made again with only a slight change in taste.
How milk powder is produced
Our factory produces its powders from 100% fresh Dutch goat milk. Dutch goat milk is famous for its mild taste, a direct result of the important development in professionalism of the Dutch dairy-goat sector. The Dutch goat farmer is known to be one of the most efficient farmers worldwide with an enormous drive to produce high-quality milk from goats living in a low-stress environment. In general, white goats from the Saanen species are milked in the Netherlands. The average level of milk production of Dutch dairy-goats rises every year due to the good hereditary characteristics and excellent management.
Where can goat milk powder be used
Areas in which milk powder, made from fresh goat milk, can be used are multiple. Our main important market is the baby food industry where the milk powder is being used successfully. In addition, there are remarkable opportunities in sectors like the sports industry, healthcare and applications in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
Goat milk offers numerous benefits both in terms of nutrition and industrial use.
